Art Gallery

Looking only at written story, we often miss how women and queer people have embodied culture. As such, visual art, mural painting, puppetry and acrylic paintings have always been a part of Rabbi Lynn's storytelling.

Her paintings are characterized by bright colors, bold text and symbolism, and inspired by her love of the illuminated manuscript, mural arts, folk art, and the ways that so many people across the world have painted the interior of their sacred spaces with imagery that reflected their environments. Looking at her art, one can clearly see a worldview shaped by decades of living in New Mexico, a landscape where indigenous life was at the center.

Rabbi Lynn's art shows her love of Hebrew letter and their many expressions and the elasticity of midrash to change and re-envision story. Using acrylic paints, she creates playful embodied depictions of the world.
